Which one is best and easiest to apply*?
I've looked at All Mountain Style, HKT, Dyedbro and Invisiframe, any others to consider?
*For someone who is good with spanners but crap at DIY like painting...
Invisiframe would get my vote. None of them are "easy to apply" but it depends on how good you want it to look.
With patience and thorough prepping (particularly on a bike that's already seen dirt) it is definitely DIY-able though.
I've just put an invisframe kit on my new bike. I'd describe myself as ok with spanners, and gets bored by painting easily.
Followed the instructions, seemed to have gone ok. Had a little fan heater running when I did it on Monday night as it was a little chilly in the garage (certainly not above the 18C they recommend).
I've cocked it up in a few places (little bubbles) but nowhere it shows really badly. It's a matte black frame so that helps.
A few of the little bits didn't want to stick, and I just gave up on those, but I think it's where the frame is gloss rather than matte. Ill prob cover with a bit of black tape as I'll likely add a little mudguard there anyway
Invisiframe every time. They’re so well made. I’ve never seen anything else (bought or DIY) that comes close. It’s worth the money. Especially when you factor in how much bikes cost nowadays.
You’d also have to be a right dunce to not be able to fit it properly. It’s so simple
Just did a Ride Wrap kit and was very impressed. Not like for like as it's different frame, but the coverage is better than the Invisiframe on my last bike.
