Looking for a new frame to switch parts onto.

Must be 27.5, 142 x 12 axle and around 160mm travel to take my Yaris.

Must also be long so around 480-500mm reach and 650mm TT.

I was thinking a WHYTE G 160 would be ideal but there’s no frame only option. I have the xl WHYTE T129rs which fits me like no other bike I’ve owned (it is also long) and I love it. Open to other suggestions.

2017 Transition Patrol?

Reach is 483 on the XL, 641 TT non boost rear, hell of a fun bike.

Tbh the non boost rear means you'll limit options with much newer I suspect. Not interested in a boost conversion for the rear wheel? If you did I'd suggest an 18 patrol! :d

bike-discount.de had plenty full suspension bike frames in sale over winter time.

No idea what's left.

I got an 150/150 27,5+ "all mountain bike" frame, got some excellent FOX components at this crazy "winter fox sale". I'am biking this all mountain machine with 2.6 inch rubber now (Magic Mary soft front and back, on 35 mm rims (FunWorks with DT 370).

The bike is more than fantastic.

If you like: check if bike-discount.de still has interesting frames for you.

My thoughts too. You'd need a 1 or 1.5 to go 142mm.

I'm *thinking* of selling my L 1.5 if it's of interest.

What’s a 1.5? Is that a conversion kit? Is conversion to boost easy? I gave up trying to keep up with all the changes about 3 years ago because it was twisting my melon. I think they do it to stop us building our own bikes. My rear hub is a dtswiss  350.

Get the boostinator kit for your hub if needed, I use one on my DT swiss 350 hub and had no issues. This will help open up options of frames to look at as quite a few now will be boost at the rear. New Cotic Rocket is pretty long, but the latest version of the Bird Aeris is long too and a really nice bike.

XL frame is pretty much nail on the head for OP's requirements.

Mate has a Prime and it looks and goes awesome.

AirDrop edit is non boost so might be easier than the Aeris 145 if you don’t have boost. I don’t think the edit is quite as long though - it’s more the shape of the Aeris 1 / 1.5.

The G160 is a boost rear only which stops that idea unfortunately  unless you find a full bike ..

I will say im all arms and legs and the large is perhaps the most comfy bike ive ridden  660mm top tube ..yes please

My Bird Aeris 145 has 100mm x 15mm Lyriks and a boost back end. My wheels are non boost with a boostinator out back to fix it. It is definitely long slack and happy running 160mm

I didn’t realise before that I can convert my hub to boost so that gives me more options. How tall are you? I’m 6’2” and also all arms and legs.

And you can get the bird on (or some of it on) cycle to work if your company does it and you’re with Cyclescheme. In case that’s useful.

You can convert hubs to boost, it just depends what hubs you have. I've converted both my hopes, and dt hubs.

If you want a long bike, there can be only one, a geometron, in my completely unbiased opion😀
