Building a light XC bike for race and trail duties. I've been scouring the Rockshox website to work out the best fork for my needs.
I want it light, taper steerer, 15mm bolt through. Don't need a bar lockout as I hardly ever use lockout, also to that extent don't think I need the rtc3 damper, on or off lockout would do. Want Matt black, quite like the black upper legs too but think they might look tatty if they wear??
I'm struggling to see the difference between them tbh, I think the Reba Rl is all the fork I need, which is handy as it's cheaper too.
What say the hive mind?
what travel?
what budget?
Out of interest - Why just rock shox?
Budget not that important but not unlimited.
Travel 100mm
Rockshox because generally I like them. Fox overpriced IMO.
The RCT3 damper isn't just about on/off lockout, it's got better adjustment of normal settings than the standard motion control (which is a nice damper, provided you like the default settings)
Yeah sort of guessing this, I'm not really a fiddler, set and forget type. Don't want to carry weight/features I'm not going to use but if it was worth doing for a much better ride then I guess I'd take it is what I'm saying.
Surely you need some of those new fangled rockshox upside down jobbers?
Nah, they do nothing for me and the price defo doesn't!
