As above really - running '06 F100RL's on original oil.
I'm told a change of oil would be help the damping when my 16.5 stone riding weight hits the bumps and or brakes?
Just wondering what the recommended oil weight might be and, is it a job for the DIY'er or, one to send off and have the likes of TF do with a service. If it's a TF job would PUSH'ing make a appreciable difference to just an oil change?
Ta
Chris

I'd stick some 10wt suspension oil in the damper, easy enough DIY, lots of good video's/step by steps online.

would this not slow the rebound down also?

Be better for a heavier rider i reckon. I prefer my rev's with slightly heavier oil.

10wt will slow the rebound, but can be adjusted, so you should be able to find a sweet spot. If you went to 15wt you may run out of rebound adjustment.

Have done just this last month. Im about the same weight as the OP. Moved from Fox 7wt to 10wt and just dialled in a little less rebound damping and everythings good.
Seem a little plusher for my weight so im happy.

Cheers folks -
fivespot - yep, I have rebound adjustment, currently set one click over to the 'less damped' side of middle setting = I would have some erm, adjustment to play with. 😉

bigyinn - cheers.

now - where to buy the oil - i'm guessing Fox stuff will be rebadged 'Brand-X' = twice the price for half as much kind of thing?
