Bought an Orange Segment frame and trying to decide on what forks to put on it,thinking of either the MRP Stage or the X Fusion Trace Roughcut HLR,both come with 140mm of travel but the travel is easy to change, anyone one used either of these forks? or if you have a Segment what are using

I have a Gyro with a -2 degree angleset which I think makes it pretty similar. The rear is 110, and I run the 120 Fox 32 that it came with. I also have a brand new pr of Fox 34 140 CTD that I was thinking of trying. The bike is a bit of a 'sleeper' and is far better than you may believe from looking at it. I think the 140 may work really well, but I was worried about it pushing the headtube too high and spoiling the weight distribution.

I am certain you will enjoy the bike!

Pikes/34's given its intended use. (Both lowered to 120mm)

Pikes/34's are the obvious choice but the MRP's get good reviews and they come with spacers to adjust the travel,so could order them set at 140 and adjust them if it doesn't feel right

Although Orange say the max travel is 120mm I've seen a few, including a mag test and on the Orange site itself, running 140mm. That's what I'd be doing. Fork wise I'd probably match the shock.

140mm Pike on mine, did run an X Fushion at 120mm for a while.

It's a beast with the 140mm 🙂 Happy on all my local off piste South Wales stuff. I've gone Cane Creek on the rear though over the standard Monarch.

Yeah better shock now, the original RL was a bit limiting.

I love my Cane Creek once I finally got it setup. Spent a day in the woods with a note pad and shock pump!

I have a Stage on my Banshee Phantom (similar bike idea to segment). Fantastic fork, very well made and I particularly like the ramp control. I use it surprisingly often depending on the terrain I'm about to ride. Pairs better with the CCDB inline than the stock monarch RL.

Stage has had lots of good reviews and I fancy something a bit different from the Pike/34
