i'm in need of a new set after smashing one of my my current pedals on a rock up at Cragg quarry the other day

trouble is theres so much choice and its hard to know which are best! ive looked at nukeproof, superstar, shimano saint, wellgo, etc, anybody reccomend any of these or any others?

they must be wide, and grippy, with replaceable bearings. Budget is upto £50,

thanks

Superstar Nano's are (as always) the obvious choice

I've got Nanos and Shimano Saints. The Nanos are better

personal preference. Thru-pins might be more likely to damage the pedal body in a big impact, but grub-screws might not be recoverable if you damage them. Take your pick

If you mash one of the pins on he regular they can be a pain to replace. The thru pin ones are easier.

superstar = nukeproof = HTi = Kona wah wah = carboncycles.

Everytime someone buys a superstar product a fairy drowns in a kittens tears and a crow scratches a baby's face.

I have wah wahs, nearly bought Saint when Ribble had em for £36 but sold out now. Actually, I prefer my easton flatboys, but they are heavy and expensive (rrp is higher than your budget).

I have Nukeproof Neutons - very grippy with big platforms which suit my lack of foot/eye co-ordination. Biggest issue to date is the chunks taken out of my shins when I fall, those pins are sharp (and grippy)

I have the nano thru pin and i like em but would go for the tech cos they have more pins and you will always get them out even if its a ball ache

I just sold my nano's, which were great and now have the new saints.
Did a muddy ride at Aston yesterday and didn't even think about the pedals, so I guess they are great too. Nano are lighter though and if Ribble have sold out of saints, cheaper too.

Wellgo B54's... buy 2 pairs for your £50

Mine have both lasted over 12 months a pair and over 2000miles of mud/dirt.

I'm on my 2nd set now and they're still going strong.

Another one on electrons here. Grippy enough for my lazy riding style

Saints, or the Superstars.

Or DMR Vaults, if there's a combination of the CRC sale & voucher that brings them close to budget - they're worth it.

I hated the Superstar pedals, very little concave. New saints are better but it's vaults for the win.
