Idiot question for today...
Am I going to goose my Hayes Nine brakes by putting DOT 5.1 in them? DOT 4 is recommended but obviously I don't happen to have that in the garage!

5.1 and 4 are compatible. 5 is not
I would do a full flush thru tho to try to reduce mixing.

4 is much better for MTB applications though,
