Just been fitting some tyres to my summer wheels ( Giant SL1 carbon ) , the rim “tapes” are a really hard inflexible plastic. The wheels are tubeless compatible so I thought they would need something better to seal. They are 23 mm rims but inside probably more like 20 mm. What do you use and what would be better wether tubes or tubeless.
Tesa tape or similar can be had in a variety of widths. It, along with gorilla tape, etc can be quite easily cut to width by running a knife around it. If you have the chance to go tubeless I'd take it!
Velox. The plastic stuff works but this is superb for when you meep getting punctured.
