A new buckle and heel for my road shoes. Exciting it is not.

More pleasingly, it appears I won a competition on a well known road based website recently so soon I will get a delivery of, what looks like, really nice road kit too.

Nothing and haven't for a while which is unusual!

Interested to hear if the socks are any good as I suffer cold feet pretty badly.

I picked up my new road wheels (nothing too flash, just open pros on ultegras with vittoria pave tyres) last night. I've got a box from CRC waiting for me at the post office that should have some boring road stuff (cassette, bar tape etc).

Getting back to proper bikes I should be getting a lefty in the post by the end of the week (hopefully)!
Very.
Very.
Excited.

Notice that a customer is being sued by the Belgian something or other to do with protection of media rights. I was underwhelmed as we get very angry looking 100 page documents in Cyrilic for the same customer every couple of weeks. Belgians aren't known for killing people they don't like.

In your position, i'd be renting out the house and taking off on a RTW bike trip.

In the book of plans, but I don't think the kids would be too keen on sharing the house.

A shiny Garmin replacement unit, from Garmin UK, sent a bashed and smashed one paid a fee and they sent me a refurbed one, nice, almost a crash replacement policy.

It's been a while since the postie bought me anything of interest, weirdly since my wife stopped working my disposable income has taken a nose dive, having said that there isn't much I crave at the moment (for pretty much the first time ever).

New work stand to replace my old lidl one, this one folds down a bit smaller to fit in the van, need to build a storage box for it over a wheel arch I think. Yesterday was the final adapter needed for my van gas system, tomorrow should bring me some of those Scott winter riding gloves that were cheap on Start, benefits of being of the fairer sex, I fit mens xs gloves (I hope) and get bargains. 🙂

It's pretty cool though - tiny (50p for scale)!

There's 5 cards, £60 (2 fivers and 5 £10s - trifolded) and a plectrum in there. You can barely feel it in your pocket.

Gearbest have been trying my patience.

4 weeks of "It's not here", "It's in the post",
"It's still not here", etc,
"the tracking number you gave me isn't active",
"technical error, post's fault",
"are you sure, it says they've been advised but not collected yet",
"yes, posts fault"

Magically the tracking number became active a few hours after that, clearly been sat on someones desk for 4 weeks.

from Apple.com/uk - the website

I got the cheap one

It's as you'd expect.
Well made, works and thankfully having apps means there are bugger all things to choose from.

New remote is better.

edit
Main difference is it's twice a thick.

Was 10 days delivery, estimated 2nd Nov, so I'm not getting uptight about it.

I'm currently deciding when I might start getting uptight about it. Next week, probably.
