I currently run some DT X470 rims on my Camino but it appears these are now discontinued ☹️

DT R500db rims seem to get decent reviews as do the H Plus Archetype rims both benefitting from being able to run higher pressures than the 470’s.

I’m only ever likely going to run 40mm (43 at a push) so low to mid 20 width?

Any recommendations?

Have been very impressed with my Pacenti rims so far, off set rear spoke drilling which should build for a stronger wheel.

"Only" 20mm internal but they hold my 40mm Vittorias beautifully, a very floating ride at 40psi with no squirm or even a hint of bottoming out or pinching.

They also seem to go up tubeless very well, but that might be the tyre rather than the rim.

Not cheap though.

Interesting.

I have a pair of DL31 rims that I’ve had for years but thought they were heavy for the width.

Are the newer rims comparable with the competition?

If your never going to go above 55psi, Stan’s crest will build into a light wheelset.

H Plus son Hydra are basically slightly wider Archetypes.
