I need boost compatible and tough cranks, in particular pedal area. New bike on my 3rd ride yesterday and my pedal comes loose and strips thread. They are the new raceface aeffect ones.

Pedals are burgtec with cromo axles also new. This happened to me last year to with a set of xt's and I am completely sure they were not cross threaded. What do people recommend for something tougher. There seems to be few sets now with steel inserts in especially in boost.

Any ideas

Been riding since 96 and lost count of how many pedals on road, mountain and kids bikes and never had the problem before, not saying no chance me but unlikely in my mind. The burgtec are tight ish in the bearings and the cranks just seem soft to me.

You can probably get yours repaired with a steel insert. They'll likely be stronger than the originals then.

(Also Helicoils are a possibility)
