OK lynch me..... I'm sure this has been done before, but I want to get my mk.1 Cotic Soul powdercoated and I need inspiration. I have considered either British racing green, olive green, duckegg blue... or some other pastelly colour.... I have black forks so thats ok......

Surely the original orange. Always liked the green and blue on the older Solaris.

Whatever colour that you actually like?

Why would you ask people you've never met before to choose the colour of a bike that they'll most likely never even see?.

I always thought sparkley dark purple would be nice. And don't put the decals back on, leave it as a mystery machine but those who know will know.

(reply to Nobeerinthefridge)

Er so nice people might post some pics of nice Souls in nice colours so I can consider at leisure - good real world pics are always better than the stock pics from the manufacturers (sorry Si!)

How fast do you ride? This will affect how likely I am to recommend red.

Fair enough.

I've had 3 souls, the original matt grey, which I powdercoated white - don't do that, it looks shite. And then the lime green one, which was lovely.

Get it powdercoated, by someone who actually does bikes, not yer local boy racer alloy guys, much more hard wearing than paint.

Go for the ultimate purple, with Midnight Purple used by Nissan on the Skyline R34

I've got a Mk1 in black that is looking a little tired now, so also keen to see some real life ideas.

Quite liking the bright yellow at the moment

I also went thru this dilemma (decided to wait for winter maybe), check the cotic site as there's only certain decals available.

Custard yellow is the only proper colour for a soul, not that god awful dayglow yellow above.

Hmmm, I am liking the powder blue.... the retina burning yellow is not my cup of tea, but it would be handy if you could have an emergency button which would turn it that colour for foggy days and so on.

Anybody had one in olive green or pastel green like a Farrow and Ball country kitchen colour?

null

Speaking of Farrow and Ball, I quite like this blue:

Was just going to suggest having a flick through the Farrow & Ball catalogue. It's Mole's Breath grey for me.

Anything but black

Unless it's the Solaris cosmic black as that's the best paint job ever.

I hope they use free range moles for that. Do they have mole farms?

Nice colour mind

There's some sort of metallic electric blue I saw recently on an Orbea which looked amazing.

My other thought would be, I seem to remember there was a story about an original batch of Cotic frames that should have been grey but a couple of numbers were transposed on the ral code so they arrived in hot pink. That hot pink was a cracking colour as well.
