All the important questions get asked on STW.

I'm looking at new road shoes for the coming summer (it's coming, honestly!) but not sure what colour to go for. I've always gone for white but is that a touch passé now? Black is safe but a bit dull. Yellow shoes write cheques my body can't cash. Decisions, decisions, first world problems.

"Best" shoes are white, winter/commuter shoes are silver. Got to be white for summer shoes, surely?

I’ve got a pair of Sworks road shoes in white with a red trim. Starting to look a bit tatty now so may update them. But will probably go with white again.

My road shoes are actually MTB shoes which are green and orange.

I've just bought some actual road shoes which are black but they were a bargain.

I would have gone for orange, yellow or bright red if i'd had the choice.

Wanted Fluo yellow but hard to find nice ones at a reasonable price. Ended up with white.

There is something psychological about it for me, if they are white my feet feel lighter.

Red matched my kit, as does blue. Probably white next as they are on sale at the moment. White also matches.

Black with red detail.

But I didn't chose them for their colour because, based on my physique/everyday clothes/other kit, I'm definitely not anywhere near the stylish spectrum, or that vain that I care.

Get red and your feet will go round quicker

White, white and white. The odd silver detail.

Winter boots are black MTB ones used with time ATACs.

white will last one ride and then become "white with a hint of road muck, puddle stain, sweat and uurgh, I don't know what that is but I don't want to get too close"

Black, with red bits...

White Giro's for summer road biking and black for winter and the CX bike, although if I was after a new pair now, I wouldn't go for white ones, probably pick something different and a bit more jazzy, besides there's nothing worse than 'off white' shoes once they've done a summer or two, you feel like that kid at secondary school that's had to borrow the spare manky PE kit and wear the dreaded stained yellow trainers that used to be white once upon a time!

^ I like those tartan ones!

I have Giro Republic reflective ones - they are generally grey. I have some teal laces in cos they match some of my other kit. *other colours are available*

Fizik R5B Uomo in white, with just enough red to add an extra 10w to my rides.

But to be honest, most of the time I wear shoe covers over them. Only on the warmest summer days would anyone see my shoes.
