Well, I wasn’t expecting that…
The new BFe has a trick up it's sleeve; it glows in the dark!
We kept our powder dry on this until we had the photos to prove it, and just look!
Pre-order now for delivery in Feb, complete bikes from just £2099.

Black or Silver surely. It's cool but wouldn't help hiding from game keepers!
I like a bit of coloured anodising but its black for me on this.
Wasn't there a glow in the dark On One 456 years ago?
As someone who night rides a lot and loves silly hardtails, this is very appealing!
Oh... remember that the graphics are CMYK, so colour coding components might be a bit of a minefield. I suggest a combination of silver and black components.
Is it just me put right off by this? I thought the gray was a bit too understated, but now... Just no.
Our daughter had a Chameleon powdercoated with glow in the dark neon green a long time ago.
We went with purple Spank bits
Following her in the dark was fun

You won't even notice it 'till you put the bike away and switch out the light. Stops you tripping over it in the garage/shed. You're not really going to see it out riding more than once in a blue moon. Post night ride pub sessions perhaps.
And as you point out, there's a gloss gunmetal with black graphics option for the more reserved builds (or to pair with any colour of components).
11 year old me would have loved that, forty something year old me is so, so tempted!
Digging around for some outdoor daytime shots of the same bike...
Does that embed?
I quite like that.
Black imo, maximum contrast.
(they didn't market my Calibre Dune as glow in the dark, I found out the first time I put it in the garage and turned the lights out. I was ridiculously, childishly excited and I'm not even slightly embarassed about it)

Don't think they made them in the 16th century.
Inner did an EMD with the same trick / colour.. They didn't tell anyone when they launched it...
^ that should be Niner EMD
I like glow in the dark. But.
Retroreflective paint is cooler. Black black black ghostly apparition appearing before you black black black.
Don't be silly old man.
A bike should look like a packet lf skittles explodedover it.
Haha!
Taste the rainbow of fruit flavours, sicken yourself and spew it all over your bike.
Love this! Bit of fun on winter night rides for sure.
I'd bee keeping this one simple. Black components and maybe some cheeky tan walls.

Cotic did that back in the day using black retroreflective down tube panels and other graphics, including on the BFe. My Simple singlespeed is still like that… black paint and reflective black graphics… and my Escapade has the back reflective panel as well, good for winter commutes while looking very subtle by day.
Should say my post was hypothetical - I already own a BFe Max (in sunny yellow) that I'm planning to sell, so no need for another!

A whole frame painted in something that did that would be great. I use retroreflective black 3M film on my bikes to add bits of reflectiveness subtly - very effective on rims and crank arms.
Purple or orange is too obvious and just one colour isn't gonna cut it, I'd go the whole hog with silver, blue and red, for example stem, spacers and headset a mix of the three, same with chainring, cranks and pedals. Silver Hope brakes with red and blue cap and adjusters, a frame colour that wild can't be finished off with understated parts. It's just my way of thinking, I'll take cover now.
Black
Hmm been eyeing up a BFe to potentially replace the 456.
It looks amazing and yet absolutely no way I'd want to own it. A bit compromised for the occasional lights off stealth field crossing.
Tracey's purple suggestion has a definite air of 90's colour scheme and gets my vote.
As a huge fan of 80/90's neon and anodising the correct answer is purple or dark blue. However, it won't often be seen glowing which makes it white and dull so I'd buy the magenta Stif Squatch instead.

The gunmetal option is probably as stealthy as you can get, without going matte dark grey on matte dark grey.
