Have always ridden flat pedals but now being fit from running and cycling i can clearly see the advantage of clipless pedals.
The question is what shoes/pedal combo?
Don't want to spend lots..
Shimano looks good...
Five ten kestrels look nice....
Will end up walking in shoes, and do mostly train riding, plus i would be nice if i could ride with other (flat/day-to-day) shoes on the pedal.
Please advise...
Day to day riding can be done on any spds - BITD I used to ride quite frequently on tioga clipmans in airwalks.
I've got some shimano AM45s and PD-M424s, they're pretty decent but I find myself on flats more often than not, just because. If I was doing longer rides then any comfy shoes and PD-M530s would be my go to, I'm using them on my road commuter at the moment as I've worn out my previous Exustar Keo pedals and can't be bothered to fork out for a new pair.
