I finally got round to fixing a slow puncture on my hack bike last night to find that the tyre is pretty trashed with several cuts through to the tube.

The current tyres are 2" Schwalbe Hurricane. I've quite liked them as set at 50psi they have a fast rolling central section but still enough cross section for a bid of comfort on knackered road surfaces and to do some light offroad riding on traffic free routes or should I say gravel 🙂

I don't want to spend loads, what would people recommend for no more than £20 a tyre?

Schwalbe do the big apple which is a comfortable city tyre with reasonable protection or the schwalbe marathon better protection and less comfort. Both can be found around £20
