Evening!
I've just bought an on one maccatuskil frame with a bb92 bottom bracket fitted and truvativ descendant cranks with a direct mount chainring. The rear axle is 142x12.
I need to replace the chainring that came on it as it's an oval one and I just can't get used to it.
I can't work out what offset chainring I need. I think it's 6mm but I see there's also a zero offset so I'm a bit confused now. Cash anyone shed any light? And also maybe recommend a chainring that won't bust the bank?
Thanks! Kevin
6mm offset for 142, 148/boost is 3mm offset, zero offset for 157/Superboost.
Sram do a steel one that will last forever and is sub £20
Thanks Tom! I forgot about the 157mm axle option. Makes total sense now. Cheers!
Second the steel sram one as they literally last ages and ages and the last one was sub £20. Can’t remember if it was from Tredz or Ebay....
