My favourite is the Blackspire DER Guide but I have never seen anyone else with one.

If it's the same as my five it'll be an ISCG old

I've got a e13 ls1 on mine but it's not that much better or lighter than my superstar plasma guide

Thick-thin chainring and forget the chain device.

Used MRP, E13 and Goldtec but my favourite is the one on there at the moment, Straitline.

As above, Raceface narrow wide (or other brand) chainring and a clutch mech, Zee being my preference. No guide.

Ive got a Gamut device which has not dropped a chain once in 3 years. Bearings in the roller have seized now so its more of a slider than a roller which isnt really a problem and still works fine as a chain device. oh thinking about it this bike is 2 x 10 and it probably wont work as well on a 1x10 setup.

Ive got a Straitline silentguide on my other bike which is also faultless and my favourite of the two as it has no moving parts. This only works on a 1x10 setup.

Might go thick thin chainring next year but I want to see how good they last in uk winter conditions before going that way.

I use an E13 LS1 and it's brilliant, very quiet but a little fiddly to set up.

Superstar. Cheap and it works the same as any other chain device. Plus you can have nice colours.

My MRP fell apart really easily...use the wrong oil on yer chain and the guide suffers

Narrow / wide chain ring saves any hassle

Narrow wide?

I'm waiting to see what happens when these rings wear a bit before I join the bandwagon and ditch my chain device.
Surely when they wear a bit they'll drop?
