Ive just sanded the laquer off the carbon wishbone on my cross bike.It had started to look scruffy from where id fitted race blade mudguards. It all lokks nice again now but what laquer/clearcoat should i use to go over it. It has to be an aerosol can as i want to do it my self. Also id like to have the rest of the frame in a raw finish as the paints a bit tired. Will i be able to get it blasted and ask them to avoid the carbon? Is this possible? Thanks singletrackers!
I'd have thought taping up the carbon would work re. blasting, not sure how tough you'd need the tape to be.
I've used std Hellfrauds lacquer without issue.
Al - this might be a dumb question, whats the lacquer called at said shop ?
Erm Halford own brand spray rattle can of lacquer with the car paints.
Thanks. I wondered about tape my self but im also not sure how tough/ thick it would need to be or even if it would work at all! Anbody else got any more definative answers on the shot blasting side of things?
