Rather than spend my weekend trying to fix my leaky XTs I've noticed that a 2 pot SLX caliper with pads is £26.
Is it compatible with my XT lever. Could I use a 4 pot SLX ?
Yes to both of those questions.
I'm confident in saying the only difference between the xt and slx camper is the finish, slx being painted and xt anodized.
The levers will work with 2 and 4 pot brakes
Google shigura, you get best of both worlds!
Make sure they both have the same banjo connector. I think they do, but if not you'll be spending nearly as much again on a new hose.
We have done it on a couple of bikes XT, XTR 2 pot calipers to saint calipers. Needed to get new banjo bolts but cables and rest work with no problems after a couple of year's
Magura MT5s
So much power!!
Ive the old m8000 levers and swapped the calipers for the newer xt four pots (m8120 i think) they did need a different banjo bolt but they were included with the calipers. Did pick them up through Intersport out in Ainsa, Spain so not sure if what you would recieve from an online retialer here would be the exact same.
