Ive just put some superstar kevlar ones in, seem good. Fitting tips...

1. take out old ones
2. put in new ones

Always hope original ones for me cos they come with a new pin, spring and clips and last a long time. I use sintered.

Buy cheap buy twice. they are not that expensive anyway for a once a year purchase

I tend to stick to Hope sintered as they last forever. I've tried a few others but never noticed much difference other than they wear out quicker.

I wouldn't bother with the bleed kit. All you need is a length of pipe that fits over the nipple and a spanner. Check the hope video on bleeding.

A type of pad. Pads come mainly in two options - organic and sinterd. Organin are made of softer organic materials and give better bite nad maybe power at the expense of shorter life. also handle heat better. sintered and metallic, last longer, and maybe don't handle heat as well

I always use sintered.

Some companies have other options as well

Superstar Kevlar are a half way house option between organic and sintered.

Have worked out well for me for 3/4 of the year, then I stick a set of sintered in for winter (I get a few years out of them!) as I'm not going fast enoguh to notice any perfromance difference.

Yeah defintly go for Hope Sintered, I wouldn't bother with anyhing else. when you do change the pads they rub a bit, but don't worry they will wear down over a ride, not sure why but Hope make the pads so big that even with the pistons all the way back they still rub.

definitley don't bother with a bleed kit, its £25!! agree with Balfa, i bled my mini's the other day and got the rubber tubing from my local bike shop for free and used a tea cup for the waste oil. all you need then is a T10 torx driver to take the resivoir cap off and a 8mm spanner for the bleed nipple.

type 'hope mini mono bleed' into you tube - the vid explains everything you need to know.

and yes it is really easy
