Going nuts here.
Had a pair of XC39's with a XTR BR M965-R IS 160mm rear caliper & 180mm rotor.

Bought a new pair of DT Swiss forks with 'post mount' caliper fixing.

Changed caliper to XTR BR M965-F (160mm front caliper) to take into account the 20mm rotor step up required for 180mm.

Now had 3 different adaptors sent to me, all wrong. Racing on sunday & still no bike, bit stressed.

My question is simple - What adaptor allows me to fit an IS caliper to a POST mount fork?

This is what you need...

Have used the same brake setup before, and that's what I used.

Incidentally, if you wanted to go for a 203mm front rotor, I've got the correct adaptor you would need, though I'm guessing 180 is going to be enough...

Thanks mboy. This is what the bike shop gave me in good faith. The problem is the DT's post mount have a cast shape in the area between its posts that the lower adaptor mount hits against before it can fit against the face of the mount.
I can see freddy file coming out & gently removing the obstruction. I dont feel happy removing any material from the adaptor or caliper as its pretty close to the fixing bolt lug of the caliper. The only solution I see is dressing the fork lug back a bit.
I'll try and get a picture.

Ah... I see, not ideal.

Only thing I can say is that the 203mm Shimano adapater I have wouldn't interfere in that way!

You could fit a 203mm rotor up front, and just be gentle on the brake lever! 😉

Far from ideal. I'm staggered that industry standards can be so varied. Thanks for your suggestions though. I'm not sure the fork is up to that size rotor, and it'd only encourage me to brake even later than I already do. And thats a whole nother story!!

read this I'm on my iphone so can't send you the link any other way.

The adaptor mentioned in there doesn't need a step up in rotor size though

Thanks bigG, I wasnt aware of kcnc either. Had a close look at their adaptors & sadly the inner lug will still be in the way. It looks like the DT Swiss just wont accept an adaptor. Nipping down the bike shop this morning to see what can be done.

Having had another look at that pic, are you sure you have the adaptor the right way around?

Nice BigG!! Throw in some self doubt aswell lmao!

If it was the other way the adaptor hits the caliper body. I believe there was some gentle dremmeling taking place to the adaptor today (deffo not the fork after the look I got @ LBS). I'll see tomorrow.

Thanks again to everyone for your input & ideas
