My mate lent me a BB removal tool, got it home and it didn't fit, what BB tool do I need?

if you dont want the bb then a hammer and chisel could work or a pair of water pump pliers.

but i would take it to my local bike shop.

Indeedy I obviously didn't look hard enough when I needed one, so the £5 to my LBS was worth it...
