I'm looking for some cheap cranks and bottom bracket for a singlespeed bike but not sure what to get. I've been offered some Truvativ Firex cranks which should be suitable for running with a single chain ring but I know little about bottom brackets.
The Firex originally comes with a GXP external BB but will it run with others? The frame needs a 68mm English threaded BB. Are there any other measurements I need to know about like frame width and stuff? Thanks.
I have a recently found out (at my expense) that truvative/SRAM cranks use different bottom brackets to the normal Ht11. I believe the non driveside is smaler than usual.
Hope the helps with your choice.

OK thanks. I've been doing a bit of research and I think I'll stay away from the Truvativ GXP and use something else.
If you want cheap I'd look at square taper. Shimano UN54 bottom brackets are cheap and last.
