I spend a lot of time looking to fill a gap in the shed. But I'm not sure what I want.
Currently have 3 bikes, one a fatty trail. The second an old carrera vulcan, set up rigid and fast. And an old 80s Colombia of worksop roadie set up single speed and 35c tyres
I commute once a week by bike 70miles round trip, using a mix of very rough fen roads and bridleways.
Only a month ago I sold my defy 0, I just wasn't riding it enough. But I'm beginning to regret that. The defy was great but it needed more clearance.
What would STW buy and why? Budget no more than 2k really and drop barred, for majority Road work.

sell the vulcan and colombia, and buy a nice tourer. surly, genesis, salsa are all nice.
Planet X xls with sram hydro 22; good off road, good enough on road decent spec for the money
I could never sell the Colombia ton. It's was handed down by someone very dear who sadly passed on last year.
I like the looks of that spesh.
