My wife and I are heading to Australia and taking our cross bikes with us, we will be using them for urban cycling and also for some 2-3 day touring trips.
I'm on the look out for ideas on what kind of lock to buy to take with us that is a good mixture of security and weight (to keep total baggage weight down)
Whilst we are not planning on leaving the bikes in the centre of melbourne overnight unattended, they may be left for a few hours at a time in urban environments whilst explore on foot etc.
What Ideas/experience have you got?
Cheers

We took a two metre Pragmasis chain and padlock to Finale. About 5kg all in.

Wouldn't recommend it 😃

A chain and padlock offers a lot more locking opportunities than a D-lock. Beyond that, it's about your appetite for risk!

You could take a look at those wearable hiplock chains, not sure if they're any good though...

Get a cheap dlock when you get there and gift it when you leave.
