I noticed next month MBUK are testing best bike for £1000, but what's the hive minds opinion of what's out there.
As much as I lust after steel, I can't really justify a Cotic or a Stanton at the moment
Theres a 2019 Genesis Tarn (medium) on 44% discount on biketart , thats about a fiver under a grand. Pretty good deal if its the right size for you.
I was sorely tempted by this but ultimately went with a Longitude (which I got for 35% off, not quite as good as 44% but still!)
Bizango Carbon looks ace if you can live with SX and slightly downmarket forks (or don’t mind upgrading later).
The alu Boardman at that price (MHT8.9?) is one of the few to get Rebas under a grand.
Pinnacle Ramin 2 looks OK too.
Interested in other options though, I have a C2W to use and not much else has struck me as good value at the moment. Lots of last years £1000 bikes are now £1100 or more.
A smidge over a grand but the likes of Nukeproof scout or Ragley Mmbop look nice.
The black edition bossnuts under the grand mark
Couldn't resist (sorry):

Easy, a Nukeproof Scout or Ragley of your preferred flavour
