I mean spares are one thing, but a recent dig through my spare parts has revealed an unhealthy kleptomanic tendency toward disc rotors, lights and finishing kit in general...

I'll start...

21 spare disc rotors...why?

Wheels, rotors, 9sp cassettes (pre loved), air shocks and seat posts.

Edit- Up until a month ago heckler frames but gave one away.

QR skewers - got at least 10 pairs, MTB now has thru axles on both wheels, one road bike has the turbo trainer skewer in the back, and they don't exactly wear out!

Several of them are expensive ti ones too - Roval, Bontrager, Tune, Mt Zoom, KCNC.

cantilever and v-brakes seem to multiply in my spares box, at least 5 sets of each. I also somehow seem to have about 10 spare/50% worn chainrings

It would be easier for me to say everything. Must get round to selling some of it. I even save the boxes and bubble wrap from new stuff with the good intentions of selling on some stuff but don't find the time. We even have spares for if the spares fail.

everything!

too many wheels (I stopped counting when there were 5 spare pairs)
too many forks
too many cranks (seriously, 3 spare pairs of Turbines, and 2 middleburns is too many for anyone, need to sell some...)
too many bb's (all the wrong size)
too many bars (all too narrow)
too many seatclamps that only fit bikes i sold years ago
too many stems
too many shifters
too many Lawwill Schwinns
too many tyres
too many random boxes of miscellany

not enough mechs
not enough brakes
not enough pedals
not enough chainring bolts - ever!
not enough chainrings

Time to have a sort out!

Lights! I make my own so have various different lights, in different stages of completion, kicking around. All good tho as I've just taken off my 'big' light as the nights are getting shorter and put on a little light for the ride home from the pub..

You should really stop now.

Tyres are my weakness. I know they're all practically the same, but switching them prior to a ride makes me feel as if I know what I'm about.

Erm....if any of those disc rotors are 180 and 160 6 bolts and they could be had for postage or a donation........I've just managed to contaminate both of mine on my pub/child trailer bike and as its only worth about £50 am looking for a cheap set!

I have no spare anything as everything gets used!

Brakes and wheels. Not so much that I've got millions of them, just that even one or two spares is too many. And I've got enough spare wheels and brakes to replace every wheel and brake on every bike I own with a spare 😳

I'd take a set of V-brakes off you if you need the space.. trying to build up an old frame for my mum and find I have 1 V-brake and one lever in my spares box. Trying to find another brake and lever...

I have about 20 spare road wheels I have 5 euuhm 7 road bikes though. I have tyres all over the place from new, once uced prelovved to ragged to hell dunno at least 20 probably 40 most likely more.

Brake pads 30 sets? more most likely.

I have too its a 30k drive to a bike shop and they are in the sticks so rather expensive. Though we have one good one who actually stocks fat bike tyres and all kinds of hope bling.

Too many tyres here. I have been out for a skid ride just to burn through a rear tyre like I'm 12 again!

Anybody got a spare 32T 104 pcd 4 bolt chainring, of knackered condition? I'm looking to finish my pub bike - would pay postage!

Rotor bolts
Inner tubes patched, brand spanking, cut up to make shims and liners
Cheap lights
Cheap light brackets
Old lights
Crap lights
Little flashing LEDs
I have a couple of too short handlebars that I keep meaning to give away
Saddles with bent rails
Inner gear cables in lengths that won't fit a rear but might come in handy for a front if I'm desperate
Plastic outer cable ferrules
Loads and loads of part worn brake pads, including three pairs of finned ones
BB spacers
Short lengths of chain off cuts
Some forks that need me to be able to afford to have the serviced before I use them, then I'll need a cheap frame and wheelset to bolt them onto
Crap mudguards/ fenders
Bottle cages
Reflector Brackets
About 8 Tesco torches ready to use as helmet lights before cheap Chinese lights were invented
Mercifully I've reduced the part worn tyre mountain but still have some patched TLRs for when I rip the next one.....
Brake cup washers
Brake hose
IS/PM mounts
Broken cheap bike computers, magnets and mounts
Several pairs of worn pedals and cleats.

I must say this thread is making me feel much better about my collection...

Road wheels - 4 spare sets despite now only have one road bike.
Brake adapters (too many to count)
Brake levers - 3x hydraulic levers for some reason
