I’ve always struggled with chickenleg cuts, could never wear 501’s even when I had a 28” waist.

I’m preferably not looking for anything with liners as I normally wear bibshorts and then baggies over the top to stop the pervs at work, prefer something tough and in dark colours.

Altura shields are specced as tough with no liner so kinda top of the list but I’ve no idea how they fit..

Raceface are off the list as they are always too small (the liners are even worse again).

Any suggestions?

couple of pairs of Madison - Addict (w/proof arse) and Zen - general purpose. legs - chunky, both seem great fit to me.

I have a similar problem. Hummvees are pretty good, also have some Altura Flexx, stretchy and comfy as hell, they are huge though so buy a size smaller than you normally would.
