The sun is shining and I need to escape for a day on the bike. How are people finding the conditions on The Ridgeway at the moment? Can anyone recommend some where to park up for a few hours?

Plan is to throw the bike in the car an drive over.

Well the Chilterns are bone dry, but overgrown in places.  Ridgeway will be tarmac hard and fast.  But bloody boring, unless you plan an epic and ride the whole thing.  Or perhaps a Ride-Bivi-Ride adventure.  Given the Chilterns is so dry why not just take this opportunity and go explore the place.  Much better use of good conditions.

Parking - well Id park at the start and at the bottom of the hill.

Exactly that. Very hard, dry, fast. Thousands of places to park, depends where you are really.

Goring is a nice village, ride from there towards Swindon.
