Picked myself up a set of lovely Easton Haven's in the CRC sale - only to discover they are 40mm shorter than my current On-One bar.. I thought I had been riding with a 740!
So, turns out anything less than 780mm now feels too narorow for me.
What are the pick of the options out there?
I prefer a plain design, lack of go faster stripes a big plus in my book.
keep riding with your on-one bar and learn to read better lol
or spend cash on a renthal far bar carbon or get an alu bar like the spank spike vibrocore and cut 10mm off each end.
just bought and fitted some race face sixc carbon bars. 785mm wide, 3/4 inch rise and lovely profile (feels similar to the havocs they replaced. not given them a ride in anger yet, but a quick blast on the road and i think they'll do the trick nicely.
CRC have currently got 25% off them at the moment meaning they come in at £96

I quite like my On-One knuckleballs, stiff, light, cheap, strong, good shape, what's not to love?
In my experience I would suggest you are better off looking at the shape (backsweep, upsweep and rise) of the bars you already have and know are comfortable.
I bought some RF SIXc bars last year that most swear by and they gave me terrible hand ache after every ride. Went back to the Nukeproof Warheads I'd had before and absolutely no pain at all.
Warhead 780s now available as a carbon option.
RSP Ego DH are outrageous value- 220g on my scales, 780mm, sensible shape. Bit glossy, they don't look as posh as the enves on my other bike but then they cost £48. £48! RSP sounds a bit no-namey but it's Raleigh.
£48!
sofaboy - why did you replace your Havocs? (I have the carbon 35s)
What are those raleigh ones? Edit : yes what Northwind said
+1 for the on one knuckleballs,
Mine have survived over a couple of EWS removes, uplift, DH and enduro races,
Very comfy and I like the shape
+1 for Rental fatbar (apart from the plain bit)
Another vote for SiXC bars here - I really like the shape which is the same as by previous Answer bars.
Renthal bars are a lovely shape but I hate the gold! Even the diddy bit on the carbon bars is minging.
Just ordered a pair of the RSP DH ones, been thinking about a lighter set for my new Reign for a while and this seems like bargain of the century - thanks for the heads-up 😀

The RSP ones have an odd shape where you have to rotate them backwards a lot to get the sweep in the right place .Not a massive issue but it does reduce the reach a fair bit.
They have 9 degree backsweep, pretty standard tbh. I roll mine forwards a bit to get more up.
(I haven't measured this, it could be that the claims aren't correct; but they feel very industry standard to me)
They are a bit like eastons of old.I generally like more backsweep than up (and the moar the betterer).
Got some cut down to 750 if anyone wants them cheap.
i think the graphics visually mislead you into thinking they're rolled back a lot. get on with mine fine
They're out of stock now I think, but Exotic do a 770mm carbon riser bar for ~£60.
Nearly bought a narrower version last Thursday in the 20% off Ebay sale, but I splashed out £90 after discount on a set of Jumbo Jims and SV13F tubes and I wasn't convinced at the time that I would notice any ride improvement on a fat bike.
I like the SixC - although that RSP bar does not look like a 50% downgrade!
I also bought some of those 800m Spank Vibrocores and they are great. Not much heavier than carbon, stiff, great shape and I don;t seem to suffer any more hand ache/arm pump that Carbon. 800mm as well, did consider cutting them down but like them as they are.
I have the renthals and really like them (although wish I'd got 30mm rise instead of 20) but I like the look of the Joystick Analogue ones. No idea on sweep/rise/durability but the space invader graphic looks cool!

I wanted wider bars and my havocs are the old 750mm ones. Nice feel and been bomb proof, just could do with a bit extra at each end.
I really really like the SixC 800mm bars - I'd have them on all my bikes if someone would kindly move our local trees 50mm further apart!
