how much better is xx compared to x0? not that i can afford either 😉 just wondering (is xx that much better than x0?)
XX is just lighter I think
It's the same as in what's better in XTR and XT - they work very nearly the same but ones lighter than the other plus the newer features come out in the top group-set first. XX is lighter - plus it'll make your wallet a lot lighter too! X0 compared to the older X0 stuff is much better as in there's a definite performance over it's cheaper X9. In the past X0 was a bit over-priced for what it was and X9 made better sense. I'm running XX brakes and they're superb as are the X0 mech and shifter I'm using.

I'd have gone for X0 if I was buying now I think. When I got my (albeit very heavily reduced and second hand) xx x0 still wasn't available. Can't see any advantage in xx for general riding - and although I have had no problems, I imagine x0 is tougher.

Strange, I truly detested my XX brakes! The rest of the group was good, but it's twice as expensive as XTR, and if you take the (£330) cassette out of the equation it's no lighter! SRAM's pricing is all a bit daft really!
I love my xx brakes too. I think they fixed them after the first year when I think virtually every set was warranteed at least once.
Fair enough, mine were early ones, having tried XTR you couldn't pay me to go back to XX now!
