The pin housing on my gravity dropper has come adrift and I was thinking I could just glue it back together, two zip ties are doing the job adequately just now. But what kind of resin would I use?

I used Sikaflex to bond some solar panel mounts to the roof of our motorhome. Alu to Alu. Bit of faf cleaning and priming but a permanent join in every respect. Laterly been using [url= http://www.bostik.co.uk/diy/product/evo-stik/Serious-Stuff-Flexibond/23 ]Evo-stik[/url] It stays slightly flexible and is as strong as **** 😀
I would use Araldite or similar. Sandpaper the surface and immediately coat with glue, then the other surface, then clamp together. Don't give the sanded surface time to oxidise.

I think the official fix is epoxy adhesive, with a reinforcement option of drilling and tapping some holes and fitting grub screws.
