So finally got my Salsa Vaya built and wow! What a day for a first ride out( all be it a short one) and absolutely freezing with the windchill, surprisingly the byway tyres weren’t too dangerous! Dropped them down to 25psi with no issues. Just arrived back to find a pot of Irish Stew waiting for me 😃 it handled all the lanes and farm tracks brilliantly so looking forward to longer rides when weather clears

There is a bit missing off your saddle.

Have to say the wife makes a cracking stew, just the job with wheaten read to warm you up

Yes Orange Matt! It’s the best colour in the Vaya imo, and looks great contrasted with the black

happy with the angle of those bars? might be an optical illusion but do the ends really stick up towards the rider rather than the usual angle more towards the rear axle? might need a tilt and a raise of the hoods too, they look very low. of course, this might be your preferred position and if so ignore me.

It's 3 weeks today since I got my new bike and I've not had chance to turn a wheel yet.

rocketdog not sure I have only done one short ride and they felt comfy but tbh I was concentrating more on staying upright 😁

Looks great. More pics required.

But I do think people should stop posting good Vaya pics, I sold mine and now I miss it!

@thomthumb I really like it, I’ve wanted one for a while and missed out on a few on here so just went for a frame from Triton Cyles in their sale. Hoping do head out again tomorrow so I’ll take some more pics

Nice!

That's not too dissimilar to my Arkose. Similar spec with Hydro 105 groupset and byways on WTB i25. I assume they're tubeless running those pressures? Mine were a nightmare to fit and I'm dreading having to change them at some point....

Very nice indeed Bregante, yes running tubeless and bloody tight to get the byways onto the wtb rims but once once seated and sealed first time.  I’m very happy with it as my first attempt to build a drop bar bike 😀
