Shimano, always Shimano for QR's. They clamp well and don't look too bad either, pick your model based on price, they'll all do the job.

Shimano xtr, a bit blingy and they just work. Of course if you're feeling really flush then Tune make some internal cam skewers as well. Very light and horrendously expensive!

Shimano if you want QR. I like Halo Hex bolt-ins though. Just as secure provided you can work a spanner, lighter, nicer looking and it's not like you'll ever want to remove a wheel and not have an allen key handy so it's no disadvantage.

Shimano all the way, I got some hope ones to bling the bike up they kept coming loose which was disappointing, only other I use which aren't really QR are the wind up DT swiss ones I got with the bike.

Shimano or Hope.
But the Shimano ones are better.

Shimano

Or Salsa work well too IME.

I've only ever had one problem with KCNC Ti QR's, ripped the front out on a crash landing, although I didn't notice it had actually moved until about 10 miles later (it was clamping over the lawyer tabs, not the flat dropout). Njee20 recommended MtZoom as being better.

I too got some Hope ones to bling my bike up (Gold ones for my Barry White Inbred) when Halfords were doing them cheap a while ago.

Never had one come loose, but they are definitely harder to close up & the 'sweet spot' (for want of a better word) is quite narrow, so sometimes there can be a fair amount of twiddling to get them just right.....
But what cost can you put on pimp QR's?
(Tongue in Cheek, before people start telling me that I'll regret typing that when my front wheel falls off as I tackle weirwolf drop at Cannock......)

+1
Also have the advantage of making wheel harder to steal for opertunists whn you are locked up grabbing some food. Can't see any disadvantage to them unless you are racing

Hope came undone for me - Shimano for normal QRs.

But do you mean 9mm thru axle QRs, like superstars ?

If so the DT RWS ones do up a lot tighter, and therefore stiffer.

Just recently fitted a Crank Brothers one. Never had issues with others before, but this came undone twice this week and is now binned. Found a Planet X one, which closes similar to Shimano and seems to be fine now.

Shimano XTR, mind you the Mavic ones on my CX aren't bad.

Anyone seen Shimano ones cheap anywhere? They are very pricey as individual items.

Also is there much difference between XT/Deore etc. as they look the same.

Can you still get silver Shimano QRs? Even their silver hubs seem to come with black QRs these days.

Salsa are good for me in the past due to having broken fingers therefore much easier to undo and do up.

I now use a DT Swiss rws one and find them to be very good.

Shimano are the standard though.

Hope are bloody faff and ripp your bloody fingers off.
All the rest are just a fadd and gimics i.e. enve, kcnc, mavic etc etc.

+2.

Very secure, light and nothing to catch on. I always ride my bike straight from my house though so don't actually need to take the wheels out outside of the garage which may be why they suit me perfectly.
