Looking around for some new shoes, I use SPD pedals, ride XC / techC, don't want full on enduro or XCO race shoe. Terraduro was a good option, but is no longer available. I'd prefer not to have a load of mesh on the shoe.

Any recommendations?

Ta

Hi, I have some northwave Hammer CX shoes size 42,(I’m more 41) they are a good 3 season shoe, bit of neoprene cuff, I’ve had them about 3 years but only occasionally used as always been a little on the large side for me so only grabbed them when my others have been still wet from another ride, so was going to sell them, if there your size have a google and drop me mail if interested jonathantraverse@hotmail.co.uk

I recently bought the latest Shimano AM7’s (AM702). Very impressed so far. Comfy and don’t look too bike specific.

In a usual year, it's my Shimano MW7's I use most, especially when muddy and wet.

Specialized 2FO. Clip lite or laces, both excellent. I actually wear mine all year round as they dry so quickly, just wear waterproof/ thicker socks in mid winter.

Seconded Specialized 2FO Cliplite.

I have been using them for the past 4 years, winter included 3-5 rides a week.

They are reasonably spray proof in having very few mesh areas, don't have lots of absorbant materials or fillers so never really get saturated and dry quickly, quite robust (including the tightening mechanism) with good toe strike protection, and are cool enough to use in the summer. I just pair with a set of merino socks in the winter.

I used to have summer shoes and goretex winter boots, and occasionally wear sealskins. Haven't bothered with either since wearing 2FOs.

On my third pair now and always keeping an eye out for a deal on them.

Oneall Loam. Waterproof but look ok and not roadie-esque like some. Seem to breath ok as have used in all but full on summer. Only negative is would prefer if the Velcro strap could be used to tighten as well as the boa thing.

Shimano ME7 here. just the right level of protection, not too hot spotty, big/wide interanlly enough for decent socks good grip if you have to walk, seem to holding up well. pretty waterproof.

I'd buy them again, and like you replaced Terraduro

I got some goretex Mavic XA ones for £45 online recently. Very comfortable and nice to cycle and walk in.
Might be worth looking for?
