Ideally handbuild sub £200 what hub/rim/spoke combos are considered good all-rounders? not too heavy but up to a bit of abuse - anyone seen anything interetsing, superstar, etc?
any pointers gratefully received.

Mavic TN719's, double butted spokes, hubs of your choice (probably Shimano XT at that price all in, Hopes if you can extend the budget).
The Mavic rims are a strong, high qualty product. Other cheaper 29er rims I've come across are really just hybrid rims, or aren't as good. Obviously some Stans would be nice, but the price not so much so.
