I've got a Boardman Pro 29er that I don't really get on with. Its just too short

Given the current second hand market for complete bikes I could probably get £600 for it. I've got enough bits lying around to build up a new frame.

The obvious choice is something like a Cotic Solaris but there aren't many about.

In my head I want steel but a longish alloy frame would be fine too. Any suggestions to stick in the ebay search!?

In a similar vein to the Solaris:

Ragley Big Wig

Banshee Paradox

Pipedream Moxie/Sirius

Chromag Rootdown

Sonder Signal ST

The issue you'll have is Stock, though I think you might be in luck with the Sonder and Banshee.

Bird Zero 29? New frames are on the Evergiven so they're not expected till the summer so prices may go up even more on those.
Nukeproof Scout maybe?

This is what I have just done. No idea where the blemish is either! Rides great, Cotic might look nicer but lot more ££££ and heavier.

As a replacement to my stolen Solaris I have ordered a BC Podsal from Bike Components. It was quite by chance that I came across it, but very keen to receive it and start riding.

The Podsol looks pretty mint if you ask me - I was havering about buying one but picked up a Specialized Fuse M4 frame that popped up secondhand. I loved the idea of a low key frame with simple routing that didn't have massively obtrusive branding, which is what the Podsol does.
That said, if you want great service in the UK as well as a great frame, I's say the Bird Zero, or their new steel hardtail, which looks rather nice.
The Mk3 Scandals look like a bargain. I had a Mk2 for about four years, and it did a lot of riding I'd never have expected it to do, including the Lakes, some wildish stuff in Wales and a day at BPW all in the space of a couple of weeks without any hassle at all.

Any problem ordering from Bike Components?
I had heard they weren't shipping to the UK.

Good point. The UK / England / Great Britain / United Kingdom is no longer in the list of countries you can select when shipping - I've just had a go. You can get something shipped to North Korea, however. So glad we took back control...
