I've bought a Rohloff hub for the tandem.
Rohloff hubs only come in 32 hole variety.
We've got a Magura HS33 rear brake on the back as well as the Hope disc brakes.
I want to keep the existing rear wheel as a spare, so I don't want to use the rim off it. I'm not even sure how many spokes it's got without checking anyway.
So, what's the best rime to use ?
While we're at it, I'd like to buy or build a spare front wheel.
No need for rim brakes.
I guess any DH rated hub and rim combination will do ?

Used to build loads of them and tough as you like

I asked on a US based tandem forum and Velocity Chukker was recommended.
