I am looking at doing some 24hr events next year and just wondering what there is out there?
There is the obvious Mountain Mayhem.
but what others are there and what is the best?
Puffer is best followed, by UK24solos, followed by Relentless. There are no 24hr mountain bike races in England.
Puffer is deffinately the best, relentless i hear is good!
in terms of ease - mountain mayhem certainly comes high up compared to others ....
no real climbing , no real decending , gentle undulating on deep mud ....
climby - uk 24s followed by relentless
exposure and atmosphere(that is - lack of atmosphere because everyones busy trying to survive and stay warm - no bad thing reminds you your human 😀 ) - puffer
24/12 had such an awful course the first year i darnt go back ....
Obi_Twa - cheers mate 🙂 i will have a look at them. I’m a bit disappointed there in none in England 🙁
clic 24 is great if its dry, i plan on it being my first solo attempt
nezbo there are a few 24 hour off road races in england.
No 24hr mountain bike races though trail_rat.
trail_rat & Obi_Twa - What other type of Off road racing is there. if not MTB. Cyclocross?!
thats close enough - only thing that stops you riding a cx bike is the rules - many have commented on it being the ideal bike 😉
* fyi- im just playing ..... dont take it to heart pat - atmosphere at mayhem is second to none !

i love the fact that for the english events you name the actual towns or places but for the scottish ones you just say Scotland (part from newcastleton).
Classic
joolzed - The one near leeds sounds great to me, not to far to traval 🙂
Well if I knew where they were I'd tell you , but I've never been to the ones in deepest darkest Scotland so that's the best I could do;0)
strathpuffer - strathpeffer - near inverness - in the highlands ....
relentless - fort william - other end of loch ness to the puffer 😉
the one that made me laugh was - clic 24 - uk ..... 😀
Why restrict yourself to the UK?
24Doce in Madrid is only a couple of hours away and logistically probably easier and cheaper to get to than driving the length and breadth of the UK, weather should be better too! 😆
