The Scott Voltage is a great 180mm bike.

I'm looking to part with a Medium Intense Slopestyle (I have too many bikes of the same category). I haven't put it up for sale yet, but drop me a line if you want more detail (it's much better spec'd than what you've linked to).

If you wanted a Cannondale claymore 2 (rep £4k) for the right side of 3k then give me a nudge 😉

Tell him to check out my bike I've got for sale, and feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

After seeing a mate snap both chainstays on landing a 4ft drop, a Trek Scratch is very much not recommended.

If he can get one cheap enough, look at Transition TR250s.

The canyon strive looks nice. Saw one last week on the monkey at Cannock - very nice looking bike with excellent components for the money. I was tempted but went for a mega pro instead. I do have a nerve xc 9 tho and it is very good quality. It depends how comfortable you are with mail order bikes I suppose...
