Unlike Kryton, I'm not disposing of my ASR5 to get a more fun bike, on a budget so want to turn what's already a fun bike into an even more fun one. Currently running DT Swiss XMM120, which is good, but want to lengthen the fork to the recommended max 140mm. Main riding is Lake, and occasional Peak, District BTW.
So what would the good folk of STW suggest...?
RS Pike would be the obvious choice. Seems to work perfectly to beef up the front end of lightweight trail bikes.
I had revs and now have pikes, though until they release a 140mm 26" spring you'll have to get the air shaft cut down yourself.
140mm Revs here & happy with them.
I ran Fox 32's on mine and I was very happy with them.
I run fox talas 120 on the ups and 140 on the way back down.
140mm Rev RLT ti's with a 20mm maxle here and no complaints. I've not ridden it with anything else though.
