Evening all,

Mrs SS took a Norco Fluid 7.1 out for a test ride and was quite taken with it. 650b and half seems to make sense for future proofing, 68HA seems bang on, 120mm travel is about right, shimano stoppers and gears, and most importantly, the small fits her well at 5'2".

Before she pushes the button, what else should she look at? The Rocky Mountain equivalent seems massively overpriced, Giant, Spesh and Trek are too late to the party in that area, and Canyon's offering looks a bit steep and tall.

That Pyga 120 looks an ace bike to me.

Try a Turner Flux.
Could be a bit of a tall budget though!
Thanx,
Max

cheers both.
HG - Pyga looks good but she's after OTP and I think 140 up front may be overkill
DS - it is a great bike, just wondering if we'd missed anything obvious.

Max, you must be a fan, frame alone is £95 more than Fluid! Granted, the fluid isn't hand build in the US.

Santa Cruz and Turners will be way over budget I fear, but the Flyer may be worth investigating, cheers.

Has she tested any 29ers? Be a shame not to.

I can recommend both the Pyga and the Saracen - although having dealt with Norco in the past too I'd vouch for their bikes. Test ride as many as possible I'd say!
