What's the cheapest mtb 10sp chain that doesn't get a patina of surface rust on it the minute it's exposed to welsh weather.
SRAM 1031 does.
It does not exist.
Try a connex one. They last for ages and my previous ones have been really resistant to corrosion. The top ones are even stainless steel.
Kmc x10sl gold great chain.
Since using ProGold Xtreme lube(on my chain),there appears to be no rust - even if left for a a couple of days.
I'm using cheaper X10s, they're not rustproof but with even rudimentary looking-after, there's no problem.
Been using finish line wet lube...gets done about once a week - still ends up rusty looking after a 10k and back commute. Peed off with it now.
Clarks self-lubricating chain from Halfords or cheaper on ebay. Have on commuter and mtb, very good, never rusts.
