You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
For trail and race. Needs to be light and trail tough, 720mm. Material irrelevant. My go to would be a Mt Zoom carbon bar but I wanted to test the waters as the rough grip area on those is a nightware to remove foam grips.
My go to is an Easton ea70. But now I reckon a bit more width and a little less getting beaten up is needed. My wife won an enve something a few years ago and that's really good, but at a pricepoint beyond mine. So I have just fitted a spank oozy vibrocore in my quest for the perfect xc/trail bar. I'll update after the weekend once I have ridden it.
alpkit lovemud carbon bars, sub 100, think they may be 740 but you could chop 10mm if really bothered. I have a set on my HT and I like em. I think they are classed as lo-rise but I really can't tell, they look flat to me
Knuckleballs currently from £40 currently, love my chewy set, but they are 25mm rise.
how often you changing grips? surely delicate use of a Stanley knife/scalpel removes them fine once they are worn
Pro Tharsis XC is available for that kind of price or a bargain KTM Carbon Prime one I know of for £45 ish
Couple of budget alloy offerings - Raceface Evolve is £36 and Brand-X is £12 at CRC
Steve I'm interested in those KTM's. I have other orange highlights on my race bike which is of course a huge factor 😉 - I'll drop you an email.
Though you might
Bit wide for the op, but the Funn Full On riser bar in the 810mm 7mm rise is essentially a flat bar. Pretty light and £78.01 less than £100.

what sweep?
