Im quite well versed in Lakeland riding, - the more popular spots at least… but im looking for information about the West lakes, like far west - rides I could do if I found myself working at Seascale for example …

Anybody recommend some good stuff over that way?

What type of riding are you looking for? If you prefer trails then I would check out Dent near Egremont. It is like a mini golfie and the trails are constantly developing. Check out the trailforks page and strava or search bikeparkdent

Tour of loweswater is nice if you are happy to drive, can park by the road at the start by fangs brow and take the high bridleway, and have a good pint in the kirkstile half way round. There are some fun cheeky tracks in the woods below that BW as well. Dent also good, as above.

Definitely Dent as suggested above. easy for a quick blast after work, although theres probably enough for a day there. A good extension is up out the back of dent and up crag fell (above ennerdale) and down to ennerdale bridge.

If your feeling fit, the 4 passes is a good option.

black combe is worth a look, although its a push up blast down type affair and not very long.

Black Combe is a good 15 mile south of Seascale, and only really accessible via the horrific A595 for an after work ride. Seascale can only mean Sellafield, so any ride that avoids the local roads is the wise choice.
