I'm riding the West Country Way next week with my son, anyone done it and have any pointers? Planning to take the steam train back from Minehead to Bishop's Lydeard then GWR from Taunton back to Plymouth.

I've found a few free carparks in Plymouth but most have signs saying "No abandoned vehicles". Anyone know of any that will be safe to leave a car over 4 days?

We parked at the ferry port to do the Plymouth to Ilfracombe route.. Can't remember the cost, but I know it wasn't expensive, when split across several riders.

Try the Coypool Park and Ride - I think that's free without much in the way of long term limits.

Big park and ride by the argyle ground a bit closer to the centre and the hoe. It’s free but I’m not sure if there are any long term restrictions.

Milehouse? That looks suitable. I called the ferry parking place, got through to the wrong department but the helpful gentleman said I could park in his residential street for free, the ferry parking is £13/day.

Curveball here. Park in Cremyll and catch the ferry to Plymouth.
