Weather looks interesting and brief sounds good!

Sign on: Sign on will open at 0815 and you can set off on your practice lap from 0830. Again you need to be early and get out - it's a tough lap. Don't be late - Aim to arrive early and prompt.
3 or 4 stages: You can drop the last stage if you find the lap too tough. You won't be in for the overall but you can still race all the same.
Lights: Might be a good idea to bring a light for your helmet - It can get pretty dark in Dyfi and good to be prepared.
Race lap: Race lap will set off early. 1145 for the first ones so you need to get out and get back from your practice lap and the last group will leave no later than 13.15 and you'll have a sweeper behind you assuring you keep going at the right pace.

We will be there. Abigale and Ed will be racing, making a long weekend of it. Lights might prove interesting. Will need to get them out and charge them up.

Not done any mtb enduro events, but rode a Dyfi trail bike rally many years ago. 35 mile lap, all off road, brilliant event. Lights may be good advice 😉

Well that was a stonkeing good race, bit chilly, but great stages, bit of a queue in places but the light held out till late, some lovely views at sunset.
Only leaving myself 20mins between practice lap and race run meant I was shagged tho!

20 mins was loads of time. Abigale got back from practice with 5 mins left, grabbed a Twirl bar and was straight off. She really enjoyed it but the bike was in a right mess at the end. Back brake lever was playing up at the end of practice but with no time to look at it she road the first two stages before it started to work a bit. Bit of fettling to do on it to see what's wrong or may just fit a new one.
How did you do.

my day was ok to start with, but i was shagged by the end, just not fit enough to keep going (excuses include not riding for a month, having a cold and being a bit podgy) I was quicker in practice on stages 2 and 4 according to strava.- tho i got held up on both

it was the climbs up to 3 and 4 that i couldnt handle tho

Dyfi was spectacular again. We snuck round early doors. Shame I missed you. I am worn out today. Had to push most climbs. Anyone want to buy a Dirty Dan?
