4 hard years of riding, and the old gal's showing signs of nearing retirement!
Shame, as it's such a good bike (plus just got the shock serviced and tuned for the frame!)

Have emailed the new importers to see what they say, but not holding out hopes... Might see if they have newer frames without shock????

Oh well....

Commencal have an online shop now, with some frames without shock, and ex-demo bits.

Here - there's a meta alu fram for 499 Euro

http://www.commencal-store.com/PBSCCatalog.asp?ActionID=67174912&PBCATID=1291934

Edit - sorry, that's a meta 6, might not be what you're after.

A couple of rounds of that blue electrical tape should hold the old girl together for a few more months...

That is where mine went after 4 years of abuse. Such a great bike and so much fun. I'd be tempted by the new AM although they are not cheap.

Give loco or mojo a bell, most 200x51 shocks are a 200x57 with a stroke reducing spacer fitted, worth an ask...

Update - liaised with commencal direct, and as the bike is 4 years old they've offered a 2012 frame for a smudge under €500....
Not ideal, but given they only have 2 year warranties, not too poor a reply from commie.

Also assures the 2012 frames are more reliable!!!!

New frame for 500 euro seems a pretty good deal. Will all your old bits fit onto it ?

Shock or does new frame come with shock?
Seat Post
Front Mech
Rear axle
Any difference with head tube length or dimention?

If you love the way that one rides it seems a decent price to pay.

Seat post is bigger (so could fit a dropper...) And need a new headset as integrated, but the rest will fit...
I live the way mine rides, the 2012 is a bit slacker too 🙂

Nah, it'll be fine! TBH, I wasn't too cautious with this current frame, despite knowing about the cracking issue!
