[Closed] Weird XT brake power issue

I've got a pair of m785 brakes and over the last 6 months they've developed a weird issue. If I don't ride for a few days they lose quite a bit of power - 50% ish but as soon as I squirt a bit of water through the callipers they're back to being able to lock up both wheels.

Changed the pads and that fixed it for a while but the issue has come back. Can't see any leaks from calliper and wouldn't expect water to wash out mineral oil anyway.

Any one got any ideas or experience the same issue?

Thanks a lot

air in the system? maybe just pumping them to test is enough to get it back to the reservoir?

Definitely doesn't feel like any air in the system. I can ride along like this for a while and until I wash them out I won't have full power - can't work it out

Well contacted Rose, waiting on their response. Will Madison give me any help if I call them?

I've exactly the same problem with a set of deores, pads are fine for the 1st 50% of their life at best then the brakes loose lots of stopping power, splash some water on them and power is restored for a while.
When you look at the pads they're very smooth and polished - would roughing them up with some steel wool help?
